In a market where the same casks circulate between the same firms, the question a serious buyer should ask is simple: where did this actually come from? Our answer to that question is the whole of our business. We source provenanced stock directly, and we supply it before it reaches the open market.

Why the source is the story

A cask's value rests on more than its liquid. It rests on where it came from, how it was filled, and whether its history can be traced without a gap. Stock that has passed through several hands, each adding a margin and losing a little provenance, arrives thinner in every sense. Stock sourced direct arrives whole: recognised names, documented from fill, with nothing to reconstruct after the fact.

Relationships, not listings

Genuine allocations are not found on a listing everyone can see. They come from relationships built over time with the people who actually hold the stock, across Islay, the Highlands and beyond. Those relationships are slow to build and easy to lose, which is precisely why they are worth having. They are the reason we can offer casks that are not simply the same parcels being shopped around the market.

Why we cap distribution

When the same casks are placed with a dozen competing buyers, everyone ends up selling an identical product on price alone. We deliberately keep distribution tight, so that the stock a partner holds is genuinely theirs to sell, not a commodity the firm down the road is discounting the same afternoon. Scarcity, kept scarce, is worth more to everyone who holds it.

What this means for you

It means the casks we supply arrive with their provenance intact, their documentation complete, and their distribution controlled. You are buying something with a clear origin, not a parcel with a complicated past.
